The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, entering the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
